The Index Journal, Greenwood, S.C. 30 Sunday, March 7,2010 Campus wins $500 prize from The Mattress Factory if JI Woodfields Woodfields School won the annual 2009 Peace Noel Project sponsored by The Mattress Factory in Greenwood. Hodges, Woodfields, Springfield, and Pinecrest participated in this year's contest judged by local store owners Khaled and Wendy Abdelwahab. Wendy Abdelwahab is the daughter of former owners John and Evelyn Powell who retired from the business. She originally came up with the idea years ago to help promote the community in two different areas as the family felt Greenwoods community had blessed them.

The contest is designed to raise awareness for the community's needy and the local schools. All non-perishable foods are donated to the Greenwood Food Bank and the winning school gets $500 (all schools participating receive $125).
